First Date - Who Pays?

Ok so you’ve found romance online…..maybe that’s a bit forward, so you went for the 100%free online dating, that’s great, but now you’ve got to make another big decision…first date who pays, you won’t get that answer from most online dating sites!

But its ok,  I’m here to guide you in this matter.  Its very difficult and awkward, this is a person you’ve never met before and from a female’s point of view you don’t want offend by offering, but at the same time you don’t want them to assume that you think they’ll pay.  The general consensus is that for the first few dates, the girls should offer and the guy should refuse……………….but this I feel a little old fashioned. The play safe option is to go dutch the first few times and find your feet in the new relationship. Don’t get me wrong I like the old fashioned values, its just I don’t think in this day and age we should assume he should pay.  If the dates are going well, maybe take it in turns.  Many men have commented that they feel the dates are meaningful if every now and then the girl offers to pay.
